Authentic Beef Kofta Kebabs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground beef 80/20 blend recommended for best juiciness
  • 1/2 cup Grated onion Excess moisture squeezed out
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley Finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh mint Finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Tzatziki sauce For serving
  • 1/4 cup Pomegranate seeds For garnish

Instructions
 

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using to prevent burning on the grill.
  • Grate the onion and gently squeeze out excess moisture using a paper towel.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Divide the seasoned meat into equal portions. Press and mold each portion around a skewer to form a long sausage shape.
  • Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
  • Grill the kebabs for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides and cooked through.
  • Serve warm with tzatziki sauce, and garnish with pomegranate seeds and fresh lemon wedges.
