Baked Lemon Dill Fish

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or halibut) About 6 oz each, thawed if frozen
  • 2 tbsp Butter or olive oil Melted if using butter
  • 1 whole Lemon Thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh dill Chopped, divided use
  • 1/2 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Pat the fish fillets completely dry with a paper towel and place them in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  • Drizzle the melted butter or olive oil evenly over the fish fillets.
  • Season the fish evenly with salt, black pepper, and half of the chopped fresh dill.
  • Arrange the thin lemon slices directly over the top of the seasoned fish fillets.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish is completely opaque and flakes easily when tested with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with the remaining fresh dill, and serve immediately.
