Baked Lemon Garlic Cod with Butter Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Cod fillets about 6 oz each, fresh or thawed
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 whole Lemon juiced, plus extra slices for garnish
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper freshly ground
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika optional, for color

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Pat the cod fillets thoroughly dry with paper towels. Place them in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Pour the garlic butter sauce evenly over the cod fillets. Arrange lemon slices on top of each fillet.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately with extra pan sauce spooned over the top.
