Ingredients

  • 8 oz Beef salami thinly sliced for roses
  • 6 oz Sliced cured beef such as beef bresaola
  • 6 oz Yellow cheese sliced for cutting flowers
  • 6 oz White cheese sliced for cutting flowers
  • 4 oz Swiss cheese sliced
  • 8 oz Mozzarella balls drained
  • 2 Hard-boiled eggs peeled and halved
  • 1 cup Red grapes washed
  • 1 cup Green grapes washed
  • 1 cup Blackberries washed
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes washed
  • 1 cup Cucumber slices sliced into rounds
  • 1 head Lettuce washed and dried
  • 8 oz Crackers assorted varieties
  • 0.5 cup Almonds unsalted
  • 4 sprigs Rosemary sprigs fresh
  • 0.25 cup Basil leaves fresh
  • 0.5 cup Edible flowers pesticide-free

Instructions

  • Prepare the base: Wash and thoroughly dry all produce. Lay out lettuce leaves as the green foundation on your serving board.
  • Craft the beef salami roses: Take a standard wine glass and fold thin slices of beef salami over the rim, overlapping them until the hole in the center closes. Carefully invert the glass onto the board to release the rose. Fold the sliced cured beef into ribbons and place nearby.
  • Shape the cheese flowers: Using small flower-shaped cookie cutters, cut out blooms from the yellow and white cheese slices. Roll or fold the Swiss cheese slices and arrange them alongside the mozzarella balls on the board.
  • Arrange fruits, crackers, and nuts: Fill in the larger empty spaces with halved hard-boiled eggs, red grapes, green grapes, blackberries, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber slices. Create a border with crackers and scatter almonds in any remaining gaps.
  • Final garnishes: Tuck rosemary sprigs and basil leaves throughout the platter for a leafy effect. Gently place the edible flowers on top of the cheeses and around the board before serving immediately.
