Caramelized BBQ Chicken Thighs

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs Pat dry before seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use a Whole30/paleo compliant sauce if necessary
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • In a large bowl, add the chicken thighs, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss well until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Arrange the seasoned chicken in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Brush the chicken generously with the BBQ sauce.
  • Turn your oven to the broil setting. Return the pan to the oven and broil for 3-5 minutes, watching closely, until the sauce is sticky, bubbling, and slightly charred at the edges.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh chopped cilantro, and serve immediately.
