Crispy Baked Feta Rolls with Hot Honey Drizzle

Crispy Baked Chili Honey Feta Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz Feta cheese block, drained and crumbled
  • 4 oz Cream cheese softened
  • 1 package Phyllo dough thawed
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup Honey
  • 1 tbsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp Fresh thyme chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the crumbled 16 oz feta and 4 oz softened cream cheese until well combined.
  • Unroll the 1 package of phyllo dough. Place one sheet on a clean surface and brush lightly with some of the 0.5 cup melted butter. Fold in half lengthwise and brush again.
  • Place a heaping tablespoon of the feta mixture at one end of the folded dough. Fold the sides inward and roll up tightly.
  • Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the remaining melted butter.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
  • While the rolls bake, combine the 0.5 cup honey and 1 tbsp red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Drizzle the warm spicy honey over the freshly baked rolls and garnish with 1 tbsp fresh thyme before serving.
