Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground turkey Lean (93/7) preferred
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Low sodium
  • 3 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch Mixed with 1 tbsp water to form a slurry
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds For garnish
  • 2 Scallions Sliced, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400F (200C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
  • While meatballs bake, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry in a small saucepan.
  • Simmer the sauce over medium heat until it thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Toss the baked meatballs in the honey garlic glaze until well coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions before serving.
