shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Freshly grated melts better, but pre-shredded works fine for a cold dip

beef bacon
Cooked until very crisp and crumbled

chopped chives
Reserve a pinch for garnish

For dipping
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled beef bacon, and chopped chives, reserving a small amount of beef and chives for garnish.
Cover tightly and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Garnish with the reserved beef bits and chives, then serve cold with crackers.
