Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen french fries waffle or thick-cut preferred
  • 1 lb ribeye steak very thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large green bell pepper sliced into strips
  • 1 large orange bell pepper sliced into strips
  • 1 medium yellow onion sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 8 slices Provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange the frozen french fries in a single layer on a large baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions until golden and crispy.
  • While the fries are baking, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with half of the salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned, then remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the sliced onions, green bell peppers, and orange bell peppers. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized.
  • Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Toss everything together to combine and heat through.
  • Once the fries are done, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Top the fries evenly with the steak and vegetable mixture.
  • Layer the Provolone cheese slices over the top of the steak and veggies.
  • Switch the oven to broil (high) and return the baking sheet to the oven. Broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
