Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Avocado Crema

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled, deveined, and tails removed
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning or a blend of chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas warmed
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage green or purple
  • 1 whole avocado sliced
  • 0.5 cup guacamole
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 whole limes cut into wedges
  • 0.5 cup avocado crema store-bought or homemade

Instructions
 

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with the taco seasoning until evenly coated.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer.
  • Cook the shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until opaque and cooked through. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking.
  • Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  • Assemble the tacos by layering shredded cabbage, cooked shrimp, sliced avocado, and guacamole on each warm tortilla.
  • Drizzle generously with avocado crema, garnish with fresh chopped cilantro, and serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
